Hieronymus Bosch
Hieronymus Bosch (1450 - 1516) was an Early Netherlandish painter. His work is known for its use of fantastic imagery to illustrate moral and religious concepts, resorting to the use of complex symbolic figures, original, imaginative and caricatures, many of which were obscure even in his time. It is speculated that his work was one of the sources of the surrealist movement of the twentieth century, who had masters like Max Ernst and Salvador Dali.
